MY ROLE:  To provide furnishings and finishing touches throughout the home.

PHOTOGRAPHER:  Masha Ana

LOCATION:  NE Portland

STYLE:  Updated Dutch Colonial

SPECIAL FEATURES:  There are so many special things in this home! A couple of vintage Turkish rugs from Wild Shaman, some beautiful wallpaper from Manolo Walls, custom upholstered furniture,  art by local artist Sunia Gibbs, and some vintage treasures found at the Monticello Antique Marketplace.

HOMEOWNER’S REQUESTS:  To incorporate a few of their existing pieces, and furnish & accessorize the sitting room, living room & dining room & nursery.

DESIGNER TOUCHES:  Layering - We started with fresh paint throughout, added wallpaper to the powder and hall bathrooms, brought in new & vintage rugs to add another dimension, and tied everything together with custom upholstery.

DESIGN CHALLENGE:  Curating enough items to fill the living room book shelves –  The clients had some books and objects to fill the 3 bookshelves in their living room, but not nearly enough – so it was important to me to stage them with a variety of items that brought warmth and interest into the space.
